Muiden is the southernmost port of the Markermeer: A small town with a special flair. Approaching it and passing by “Muiderslot” is already an impressive experience. Same applies to the “Grote Zeesluis” (the great sea lock). The traffic there, especially during high season, is spectacular. It can be watched and enjoyed best with a beer, sitting on the terrace at ‘Ome Ko”.
Berthing is possible in the royal marina “koninklijke” (the name says it: This is also port of registry for the sailing yacht “Groene Draek”, the “green dragon”, used by the royal family). Alternatively, berthing is allowed at the “Vereinshafen”, opposite the royal marina.
